The Schlossberg, its environs, and the current offers of fresh products change with every season. We do offer you the best of our regional, seasonal, organic, and sustainable food with ingredients from the land of garlic in Nuremberg, meat produced on our local farms in the village, and carp raised in close-by Schnaittach. Take a break from everyday life with our Franconian specialties and seasonal cuisine!

Our Chef Werner Hafenrichter welcomes you with regional specialties throughout the year, such as Saure Zipfel (an especially delicious Franconian dish with the world-renowned bratwursts from Nuremberg), homemade Kaiserschmarrn (our version of the amazingly delightful Austrian pancakes), Schäufele (Franconia’s own tasty pork roast), or Franconian poached carp (a must-have from Diepoltsdorf) — we prepare our dishes for you daily and fresh.

The Igelwirt is closed for the day from 11 a.m. onward,
except at public holidays.
